Susan Gibson is the new Rural Network Officer for Craven.  Sue will be offering a free advisory service to help groups access support for their service and training needs.  She will also be listening to your views and passing them onto policy makers to ensure that groups in Craven are represented both locally and regionally.

Sue will be happy to come and meet with your group and help you to identify what your service/training needs are, so don't worry if you are not sure what support you need to help your group develop.  After meeting with you, Sue will advise you about the support and training available to meet your needs.  She will have a follow up conversation with you a month or so after meeting you -  to find out how useful the support was and to direct you to any additional support or training you might need.

Here are some examples of the services that Sue can put your group in touch with:

  • Fundraising

  • Grant applications

  • CRB checking

  • Volunteer management

  • Community Accountancy

  • Employment law advice

  • Community led planning

Sue works 14 hours per week, and is generally available on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  From mid-February 2010 she will be working from the Little Red Bus office in Bentham.  Please get in touch with her as follows:
